This weekend a team with Uzair as second best esl-speaker of the tournament and representing our debating club won Zagreb Open. Congratulations!
We are so happy to announce that after over 6 months we can now leave our gloomy rooms and return to glorious debating from face to face! Who would have thought that people consist of more then mere faces, but have arms and legs as well? We are sincerely thankful to the KHG for making debating possible for us in their rooms so close to the University.
We are happy to have organized the sixth beginner's trounament Transrapid successfully in this rather unusual year. Unlike in the years before the debates did not take place in Munich, but in the living rooms of all participants. But at it's core it remained the same: Thrilled debating newbees from the entire DACH-region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) could experience a tournament for the first time. With participants and judges from 10 cities we were able to get 4 finalists through 4 in-rounds and 4 rooms. We are especially proud to announce a Team from Munich as the winner! We congratulate Anna and Kevin as well as all other participants for a successful showing! The (small) earnings of the tournament were donated to the project chosen by the winning team „Hilfe gerade in Corona-Zeiten: für wohnungslose Kinder und ihre Mütter!“.
Organizers: Linus Kienmoser/Kenno Boinowitz Chief Judges: Miriana Muntean, Calyxx Peucker, Samuel Scheuer |
