Melda, a long-time member of the Munich debate society, was an ESL Semi-finalist and 10th best ESL speaker at EUDC 2015. She has been the best speaker at four competitions including Tilbury IV and Turkish Nationals. She also won Patras Open and reached the finals of several other European tournaments, including BBU Open and Paris Open (ESL). She has been on CA teams of many tournaments including Istanbul IV, Bogazici Open, and soon SUIDC.

Ben is both active on the English and German speaking circuit and has broken at numerous IVs as both a speaker and a judge. This year he chaired the UCL IV and Rotterdam open semis and the Cardiff open novice-final. He judged the final of Bristol open and semifinal and final of Imperial IV. As a speaker Ben was a top ten speaker at last years Scottish Mace, won the Jacobs Open and this year has made the final of the Exeter, Copenhagen and Maastricht Opens.

Monica has been a Chief Adjudicator at multiple international tournaments including Red Sea Open 2015 and SUIDC 2015 & 2016. She is also an upcoming CA of SOAS IV 2016, Moscow Open 2016 and the Riga IV 2016.
She has a speaking record of five consecutive EUDC breaks: Belgrade 2012 semifinalist, Manchester 2013, Zagreb 2014 and Vienna 2015 quarterfinalist, 12th Open breaking team and 2nd ESL team in Warsaw 2016. As of this year, she is a WUDC Octo-finalist, making it to the Open break at Thessaloniki. Among many other achievements are recently winning Paris Open 2016, PEP IV and Vienna IV 2016 and reaching the finals of Cambridge IV (ESL), Cambridge Womens' Open.

Milla is the Vice President and Educational Officer of the Finnish National Debating Association (FINDA), where she has worked towards creating an accessible FINDA training program. As Language Officer of the Hull18 EUDC bid she has actively advocated for combatting language barriers ESL speakers face, including detailing various means of maximising fairness and ESL inclusion at tournaments in the note “Minimising the impact of language barriers in British Parliamentary Debate judging”. Milla has been Equity Officer at the Finnish High School Nationals, and totals 7 judging and 14 speaking breaks, including the Berlin IV 2016.
With Milla on board, we know that Munich Open will be a fair and enjoyable event for all participants, and are looking forward to it greatly!
