On November 21st, Philipp R. Mueller from Munich Debating Society took part in a panel discussion hosted by the TUM speaker series. The discussion, which took place in front of an audience of over a thousand, was moderated by Hans-Jürgen Jakobs, senior editor of „Handelsblatt“. Philipp asked Cœuré, member of the ECB executive board, critical questions regarding the EU and ECB. We are once again proud to promote critical thinking and public discourse.
At the beginning of the winter semester, we're offering a beginners training program. This will consist of seminars and proper debates. While most of the seminars will be in German, we aim to have at least one english debate every week, in which beginners wishing to debate in english will be paired with experienced club members who will assist and train them.
Seminars are on Wednesdays at 6, debates start at 7.
Since January, Munich debating society attended 12 tournaments with a total of 26 teams. Thus, our society has become one of the most active in the country.
